Hi everyone!

Today I’d like to introduce my new script, which I’ve decided to share with you for free!

The script creates random robbery events around the city. If a player happens to pass by, they can decide whether to help the robber escape. If they agree, the robber gets into their car, and they have to escape the police while wanted.

Meanwhile, you’re being shot at, the robber is shouting, and most importantly, he reacts to the situation. He reacts when you’re no longer being chased, when you come under fire, when you stop, when the car breaks down, when you run away, or when you’re too slow. He communicates with you throughout the encounter, as you can see in the showcase video.

There are 179 dialogue lines covering 33 different situations, in every supported language.

Once the dust settles, he gives you a location where you need to take him safely. In return, he gives you a share of the loot. If he gets shot and killed along the way, his bag stays where he fell. You can still pick it up and deliver it, just for a smaller payout.

Each language contains 275 translated text entries, with no text hardcoded in the Lua files. Just add setr lr:locale hu to your server.cfg for Hungarian, or let the script detect the language automatically.

What else is included:

• 4 difficulty levels tied to rank. As a beginner, you start with street jobs; at Ghost rank, you have a bulletproof professional hitman in the back seat. There are 7 different robber characters with 4 combat styles: some never touch a weapon, while others return burst fire from 85 metres away.
• A level and XP system with 5 ranks, saved using oxmysql, or a JSON file if oxmysql is unavailable.
• Server-side validation: the client never tells the server how much to pay. Distance, chase duration, vehicle condition and the robber’s condition are checked on the server, with protection against teleporting and cheating. Routing buckets are supported too.
• Optional crew mode: another player can join you in the car and share the loot. Disabled by default.
• Framework support: ESX / QBCore / Qbox / standalone, with automatic detection.
• Exports and events if you want to connect your own scripts.
• Admin commands, a debug panel and startup checks. The script checks whether another resource has disabled the police and tells you which file is responsible.

It’s a simple little script to add some extra activity to your server. Every parameter can be adjusted in the config, with more than 350 settings.

The script is not obfuscated. There is no escrow and no licence key. You get every line of code, and you can edit every line. Enjoy!

About the HUD and chat in the video

The HUD and chat shown in the showcase are not included. They are replaced with native GTA V UI elements.

For the best experience, I recommend lastresort_chat and lastresort_notify, but neither is required. Everything works without them.

Requirements:

• OneSync must be enabled. The robber and the bag are created on the server to prevent duplication.
• NPC police must be enabled on your server. On QBCore / Qbox, smallresources disables native police dispatch by default. The script re-enables it for the duration of the chase and restores the previous settings afterwards.
• Everything else, including oxmysql, ox_inventory and a framework, is optional.

Development

The level system and difficulty scaling are still under active development. If there’s interest in the script, I’d be happy to finish this part for you.

Likewise, if there’s demand, I can also make a faction-based police version.
